A leading insurance company is seeking a Motor Damage Management Team Leader in Leeds. This hybrid role involves leading a team, managing motor claims, and ensuring compliance with policies. The successful candidate will have strong coaching skills and technical knowledge of motor insurance products, along with a commitment to team development and performance improvement.

Reporting directly to the Customer Experience Manager, you'll:
Lead, coach, and inspire your team to reach their full potential through regular feedback and development conversations
Use your technical expertise in motor claims handling and portfolio management to support and guide your team
Communicate clearly and effectively to embed change and drive continuous improvement
Monitor team performance using available data, taking quick action where needed to meet key metrics
Champion a culture of ownership, getting things right first time for our people, customers, and shareholders
Support talent development by actively recruiting, retaining, and succession planning for the right people
Promote a positive, can-do culture through recognition, wellbeing check-ins, and motivational leadership
Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, operating within our risk appetite and handling complaints with care
Encourage knowledge sharing and problem-solving within the team to maintain high standards and consistent improvement
Take ownership of your own development while supporting others to grow professionally
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.
Proven experience in motor claims handling, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end claims journey
Solid portfolio management skills, including the ability to monitor, manage, and drive performance across a claims caseload
Strong technical knowledge of motor insurance products, claims processes, and relevant regulations
Experience in coaching and developing others, with a passion for helping people grow
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive performance and continuous improvement
