William James Recruitment is assisting a leading law firm in Manchester to recruit a Motor Associate for a hybrid role. You will manage a caseload of Motor claims, including Multi-Track matters, and support the team on complex personal injury cases for prominent insurer clients.

The role offers training, supervision, and opportunities for progression within motor claim litigation. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Motor claims for insurer clients, including Multi-Track matters.
• Assist with complex Motor personal injury claims and support on Multi-Track cases.
• Draft pleadings and other legal documentation.
• Prepare instructions to counsel and experts, attend conferences and advise on strategy.
• Report to and liaise with clients, maintaining professional relationships.
• Manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Support the wider team with additional tasks as required.

Motor Associate - Manchester - Hybrid - Up to £50,000

A leading law firm is seeking an Associate to join its specialist Motor team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a small, dedicated team acting for some of the UK's largest insurer clients, handling a varied caseload of Motor claims, including complex personal injury matters.

As a Motor Associate, you will manage your own caseload while supporting the wider team on Multi-Track claims. While experience in Multi-Track matters is preferred, candidates with a strong background in Fast Track Motor claims will also be considered, with full training and ongoing supervision provided to support your development.

The Role

• Managing a caseload of Motor claims on behalf of leading insurer clients, including Multi-Track matters
• Assisting with complex Motor personal injury claims and supporting the wider team on Multi-Track cases
• Drafting pleadings and other legal documentation
• Preparing instructions to counsel and experts, attending conferences and advising on case strategy
• Reporting to and liaising with clients, maintaining strong professional relationships
• Managing competing priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Supporting the wider team with additional tasks as required

The Candidate

• Experience handling Motor claims, ideally involving Multi-Track litigation, or a strong background in Fast Track Motor work
• Candidates from both claimant and defendant law firms are welcome to apply
• Strong understanding of Motor claims, litigation procedures and case management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident in building relationships with clients, colleagues, counsel and experts
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
