Job summary

Command Recruitment in Warrington is seeking a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our busy Vehicle Preparation team. The role offers a Monday-to-Friday pattern with no weekend work and a salary of £35,600. You will perform MOT testing, PDIs, and light mechanical tasks to keep used stock in top condition.

The position focuses on practical mechanical work, DVSA-standard MOT testing, and collaborative team duties across the workshop. A reliable, detail-oriented candidate is sought.

Qualifications

• MOT Tester qualification/licence.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, PDI Technician, MOT Tester or Fast-Fit Technician.
• Good practical mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to carry out PDI and light mechanical work.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
• Completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs).
• Carrying out vehicle safety and condition inspections.
• Completing light mechanical repairs and fitting work.
• Identifying defects and required remedial work.
• Preparing used vehicle stock to the required standard and completing inspection documentation.
• Working alongside the wider preparation and workshop teams.
• Moving between PDI and MOT duties depending on business requirements.
