Job summary

Command in Warrington is seeking a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join the busy Vehicle Preparation team. The role offers a Monday-to-Friday pattern with no weekends and a 40-hour week, focusing on MOT testing, PDIs, vehicle prep and light repairs.

The successful candidate will have an MOT Tester qualification, practical mechanical skills and a flexible, reliable approach. Training refreshers for MOT testing are considered if needed.

Qualifications

• MOT Tester qualification is the key requirement.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician, PDI Technician, MOT Tester or Fast-Fit Technician beneficial.
• Good practical mechanical knowledge required.
• Ability to perform PDI and light mechanical work.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
• Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs).
• Carrying out vehicle safety and condition inspections.
• Perform light mechanical repairs and fitting work.
• Identify defects and required remedial work.
• Prepare used vehicle stock to required standard.
• Complete MOT and inspection documentation.
• Work with wider preparation and workshop teams.
• Move between PDI and MOT duties as required.
