Qualifications

• MOT Tester qualification/licence is a key requirement for this position.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, PDI Technician, MOT Tester or Fast-Fit Technician is desirable.
• Good practical mechanical knowledge and ability to carry out PDI and light mechanical work.
• Excellent attention to detail with a reliable, flexible approach to work.
• MOT-qualified candidates needing a refresher will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
• Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and vehicle safety checks.
• Perform light mechanical repairs and fittings as required.
• Identify defects and plan remedial work.
• Prepare used vehicle stock to the required standard and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with the wider Vehicle Preparation and workshop teams.
• Switch between PDI and MOT duties depending on business demand.
