Job summary

HiQ Tyres & Autocare is seeking a full-time MOT Tester Technician to join our Wellingborough team. You will perform diagnostics and repairs on various vehicles, ensuring compliance with MOT legal requirements.

HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a MOT Tester Technician to join our team. The role is offered on a full‑time permanent basis, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm – half a day finish on a Saturday. Salary depends on experience.

What you will be doing as a MOT Tester Technician

• Work on all makes and models of vehicles
• Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
• Handle brakes, tyres, and wheel alignment
• Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and exhaust systems
• Conduct MOT tests on various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform necessary repairs or adjustments
• Document test results accurately and provide feedback to vehicle owners regarding any issues found
• Stay updated on changes in MOT regulations and testing procedures
• Always maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard
• Undertake any additional duties (within reason) for the efficient running of the Store
• Carry out administration duties as required within the store
• Assist in carrying out regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy
