My client is a Main Car dealership based in Letchworth Garden City, currently looking to recruit an MOT Tester/Prep Technician.

What the role will include:

• Ensure the MOT Test Centre conforms to the standards set by the Vehicle Inspectorate.
• Undertake MOTs and re-tests, working within the DVSA framework.
• Carry out diagnostics and updates to vehicles, using the latest manufactured diagnostic equipment.
• Plan, carry out, check, and test all work done to the highest possible standard.
• Instruct the parts department on the parts necessary for repairs.
• Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out, and immediately report any further work required or vehicle faults.
• Assist service reception by recording, recovering, returning, and moving customers’ vehicles.

Experience, skills, and attributes:

• Must have an up-to-date MOT Licence.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Ability to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
• Team player with a positive and can-do attitude.
• Self-motivated and customer-focused.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure customer lead time scales are met.
