Job summary

Vertu Ford Wigan is seeking a full-time MOT Tester to join our expanding team. You will conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards, service vehicles, and perform visual health checks.

The role requires a qualified MOT Tester with a valid UK MOT license and a full UK driving licence. We offer a £2,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified MOT Tester with a valid UK MOT license.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience in a similar setting (independent garage, fast-fit centre, or main dealership).

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Perform visual health checks.
• Support customers by answering queries clearly and help the team meet deadlines.

Due to a growing demand for our services, Vertu Ford Wigan is expanding our team — and we’re excited to welcome a new full-time MOT Tester.

Salary: £29,840 - £36,200 + Excellent Company Benefits (based on experience)

We’re also offering a £2000 sign-on bonus. You’ll receive £1000 when you join us and an additional £1000 in month 13 of your employment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conducting MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
• Performing visual health checks
• Supporting customers by answering queries in a clear, friendly manner
• Helping the team meet deadlines and deliver excellent service

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified MOT Tester with a valid UK MOT license
• A full UK driving licence
• A detail-oriented and dependable approach to work
• Previous experience in a similar setting (be that an independent garage, fast-fit centre, or main dealership)
