Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester on a part-time basis (18–22 hours per week) with flexible hours. The role involves performing MOT tests, maintenance and repairs to DVSA standards, and delivering excellent customer service to keep vehicles safe.

The position offers a base salary of £18,385 with an uncapped monthly bonus scheme, and a benefits package including generous annual leave and staff discounts.

As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you’ll carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and complete a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work. From advanced diagnostics & repairs to routine services, you’ll ensure every job is done to the highest standard.

Skills and Experience

• Level 3 qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent qualification or experience)
• Valid MOT Testing Licence
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
