Job Purpose

The role of the MOT Tester is to:

• Undertake Class IV MOT tests to the government standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking Class IV MOT tests adhering to strict DVSA/Government guidelines.
• Reporting additional faults requiring attention.
• Completing a full write-up of work completed.
• Ensuring all documentation is completed promptly.
• Maintaining tools, whether own or company, in a safe and clean condition.
• Ensuring all requirements of Harwoods health and safety procedures are maintained.
• Maintaining and reporting on all DVSA standards.

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Hold the relevant MOT Tester qualification.
• Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ accreditation.
• Competency in numeracy, literacy, and IT.
• Energy and enthusiasm.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Smart appearance.

Experience

Desirable: Relevant manufacturer experience.
