Job summary

Perfect Placement is recruiting on behalf of a respected Main Dealer in Northwich, Cheshire, for the position of MOT Tester. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced automotive professionals seeking a dedicated MOT Testing role within a well-established dealership environment.

You will conduct MOT tests, perform vehicle inspections, servicing and component replacements, and complete Vehicle Health Checks to guarantee safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• MOT accreditation or a strong willingness to obtain this qualification.
• At least 3 years' experience working in a vehicle workshop/garage.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
• Honesty, with high levels of integrity and professionalism as the MOT tester.
• Ability to work under pressure and support colleagues as part of a team.
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and skill development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with current regulations and standards.
• Carry out vehicle inspections, accurately identifying faults and reporting on service needs.
• Perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and component replacements.
• Complete Vehicle Health Checks to ensure ongoing safety and compliance.
• Work independently in a busy workshop, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Document and update vehicle records systematically.
