Job summary

Trade Recruit is recruiting a skilled MOT Tester / Mechanic for a busy workshop in Mildenhall, IP28. You will perform Class 4 MOT tests, service and repair a wide range of vehicles, and diagnose faults to ensure safety and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate will hold a current MOT tester licence, have strong diagnostic skills, and a full UK driving licence. You will work both independently and as part of a team in a professional environment with long-term career prospects.

Qualifications

• Qualified and current MOT Tester licence.
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or MOT Tester.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and regulations.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify faults.
• Perform servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Diagnose vehicle issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and MOT results.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures within the workshop.

We are seeking a skilled and qualified MOT Tester / Mechanic to join a busy and professional automotive workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering high standards of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and MOT testing. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customers' vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently while providing exceptional workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and regulations

Requirements

Essential

• Qualified and current MOT Tester licence

Desirable

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment
