Our client is one of the UK’s largest and leading Motor retail groups and is looking for an MOT Tester to join their thriving workshop team.

Location: Solihull

• £28,000 basic
• Working hours to be discussed at the interview

To be eligible for this MOT Tester role, you must have the following:

• A valid MOT Tester License
• Basic understanding of servicing and mechanical repairs
• Previous experience carrying out MOT tests
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines and procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• A team player attitude and willingness to support colleagues
• A full UK driving license

As an MOT Tester, your daily duties will include:

• Conducting MOT tests on various vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards
• Identifying and reporting any faults or defects found during the test to the customer or relevant supervisor
• Carrying out necessary repairs or maintenance work to ensure the vehicle passes the MOT test
• Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out
• Communicating effectively with customers, providing advice and guidance on MOT requirements and vehicle maintenance
• Staying up-to-date with the latest MOT testing regulations and guidelines
• Working independently as well as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
