Job summary

A MOT Technician role based at a fast-growing UK automotive retail centre in Kilmarnock. You will conduct MOTs on customer cars, perform light servicing, and assist with fast-fit duties. A valid MOT licence and experience as a vehicle technician are required; training to gain qualifications will be provided.

Location: Kilmarnock. Shift: 08:30–17:30, Mon–Fri; Sat rota 08:30–16:00 with a weekday off. Benefits include 32 days holiday, training, life insurance, and employee support programs.

Qualifications

• MUST have a valid MOT licence and experience as a vehicle technician.
• No formal technician qualification required, provider can fund qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete MOTs on customer vehicles.
• Perform light and full-service work as needed.
• Carry out fast fit duties when required.
• Collaborate with workshop, service, and parts teams to hit targets.
• Ensure DVSA process compliance.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a MOT Technician based at their retail centre in Kilmarnock.

As a MOT Technician would be responsible for completing MOTs on customers cars, as well as other light repair work. To be applicable for this role you must have a valid MOT licence, as well as experience working as a Vehicle Technician.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Kilmarnock

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

To be a MOT Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Experience as an MOT Tester
• A valid MOT licence – Essential
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
