Job summary

ACS Automotive Recruitment is seeking an experienced MOT Tester in Barking, East London. This permanent role offers £28,000 – £42,000 per annum depending on experience, with Monday–Friday 8:00–18:00 and weekend rota as required.

As an MOT Tester you will carry out tests to DVSA standards, identify faults, and ensure accurate paperwork while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

ACS Automotive Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester on behalf of an independent automotive client based in Barking.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled MOT Tester to join an independent business with a friendly working environment and excellent earning potential.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Identifying and reporting vehicle faults
• Ensuring all MOT paperwork and records are completed accurately
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and safety checks
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Delivering excellent customer service

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
• Weekend work required on a rota basis

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will have:

• A valid MOT Tester qualification
• Previous experience as an MOT Tester
• Good knowledge of MOT procedures and vehicle systems
• Strong attention to detail
• A professional and reliable approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
