Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd in Farnborough is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy main dealership. You must hold a current MOT Tester Licence, have a Level 2 qualification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing and Repair, and a valid Full UK Driving Licence.

The role involves carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations, performing vehicle health checks, PDIs, light servicing, and collaborating with Vehicle Technicians to maintain workshop standards.

Qualifications

• Current MOT Tester Licence.
• Level 2 qualification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing and Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Tester within an automotive workshop.
• Good understanding of DVSA testing regulations.
• Previous franchised dealership experience is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional repair requirements.
• Record inspection findings accurately and clearly.
• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and used vehicle inspections.
• Complete light servicing and MOT-related repairs when required.
• Maintain MOT testing equipment and a clean, compliant testing area.
• Work closely with Vehicle Technicians and the Aftersales team to maintain workshop standards.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester or Vehicle Tester to join a busy main dealership in Farnborough. Applicants must hold a current MOT Tester Licence, possess a Level 2 qualification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing and Repair or equivalent, have previous automotive workshop experience, a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm | 42.5 hours per weeke
