Job Description

MEM Northampton is seeking skilled MOT Testers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in using hand tools and power tools.

The main duties will be:

1. Carry out general servicing of vehicles and the MOT testing.
2. Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles as required.
3. Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as required.
4. Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
5. Ascertain job requirements from the job card/estimate and record all time taken against the repair.
6. Ensure that all documentation is accurately completed and that all Company procedures are followed.
7. Assist with general workshop loading as required.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanical Inspector.
2. Qualified MOT Tester (essential).
3. Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (essential).

Additional Information:

1. Full valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive automatic and manual cars (essential).
2. For insurance purposes, you need to be over 21 years old and hold a driving licence for a minimum of 2 years (essential).
3. You must own your own tools/basic start.

Shift Pattern:

4 on 4 off, 06:00 am to 06:00 pm.

Salary:

£17.70 Per Hour
