SAP Test Analyst
Location: Remote (UK)
Permanent

RS Group is looking for a highly skilled and motivated SAP Test Analyst to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive system testing expertise to help drive forward our testing function, ensuring high-quality outputs using a mix of industry best practices, techniques, and tools.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Execute system testing with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Write and maintain effective test scripts to support robust test execution
  • Utilise test management tools for script creation, execution, and defect tracking
  • Lead the defect management process, ensuring issues are logged, tracked, and resolved to a high standard
  • Work across multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Provide meaningful updates and escalate issues where necessary to the Test Manager
  • Deliver accurate, timely reports on test progress and outcomes against project plans
  • Contribute to defect prioritisation and reporting for better decision-making
  • Escalate exceptions to relevant stakeholders including Project Managers, Change Owners, or Test Managers

About You:

You are a detail-oriented, results-driven professional with a passion for testing and improving quality. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident working across global SAP projects. With strong analytical skills and a proactive approach, you're able to identify issues before they become problems and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You're not only skilled at executing high-quality tests but also at shaping the strategy and direction of the testing function.

What You Bring:

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented
  • Demonstrable experience in large-scale testing projects (preferably global)
  • Strong understanding of SAP systems, particularly within a complex global distribution model
  • Experience with Order-to-Cash processes in SAP ERP and CRM (Retail environment)
  • Working knowledge of SAP Retail Finance, procurement-to-invoice processes, and made-to-order product setups
  • Familiarity with SAP ECC6, including warehouse management (Lean & Full WM)
  • Proficient in working with IDoc-based system integrations
  • Ability to create and gain buy-in for comprehensive test documentation (test plans, acceptance criteria, etc.)
  • Skilled in using reporting tools to drive testing improvements and support data-driven decision making
  • Experience leading test status meetings and managing stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into structured test plans
  • Proven track record of delivering process improvements in testing
  • Comfortable working with third-party vendors and global teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels

Desirable Skills:
  • Data management knowledge and application for efficient testing
  • Familiarity with E-commerce, particularly RS Group's platforms
  • ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certification (or equivalent)
  • SAP Module certifications are an added advantage
