The Abbey in Yate is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join our automotive team. You will carry out MOT tests to high standards and help keep customers safe on the road.

We offer a competitive salary £37,000–£42,000 with a generous bonus, excellent training, and clear opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Tester licence.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of MOT standards and procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Positive, team-focused attitude.
• Flexibility to support the wider centre team when needed.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT tests in line with Government standards and regulations.
• Keeping customers updated throughout the MOT process.
• Clearly explaining any work required and the reasons behind an MOT failure.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and cleanliness within the centre.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, you'll be responsible for delivering MOT tests to the highest standards, with the key objective of keeping customers safe on the road. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out MOT tests in line with Government standards and regulations

• Clearly explaining any work required and the reasons behind an MOT failure
• Providing excellent customer service
