Job summary
Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced MOT Tester, MOT Technician, or Vehicle Technician for a busy automotive service centre in Salisbury. Applicants must hold a current MOT Tester Licence and have prior Vehicle Technician experience, with a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.
Training towards Level 3 and Hybrid Vehicle qualifications is provided. The role involves carrying out MOT tests, servicing, light repairs, and tyre work, while maintaining DVSA records and
Qualifications
- Current, valid MOT Tester Licence.
- Experience as MOT Tester or MOT Technician.
- Experience as Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to complete Level 3 and Hybrid Vehicle qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations.
- Complete servicing, maintenance and light repairs.
- Carry out fast-fit repairs, including tyres.
- Identify vehicle defects and recommend repairs.
- Work closely with Vehicle Technicians, Service Advisors and Parts teams.
- Maintain accurate MOT records and follow DVSA procedures.
- Support workshop productivity and maintain high safety standards.
