Job summary

We are recruiting for an MOT Technician on behalf of our client, a leading automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple locations nationwide, based in Newport.

This MOT Technician role offers a competitive starting salary of £32,500 per annum, negotiable based on experience, plus monthly bonuses averaging £3,600. You will work a structured 42.5-hour week, Monday to Friday with alternating Saturdays, and benefit from training, a pension scheme and enhanced holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MOT Technician.
• Valid MOT licence and UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Knowledge of current MOT standards and vehicle repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in compliance with Ministry standards
• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently and accurately
• Assist with vehicle servicing and repairs as required
• Support the workshop team to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency
• Provide excellent customer service, including occasional front reception assistance
• Produce high-quality work within specified time frames
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
