Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust Mortuary team is seeking a dedicated Mortuary Care Assistant to support dignity in handling deceased patients and accurate data entry within Trust systems.

You will prepare bodies for viewing and release to undertakers, manage sample dispatches, and follow Trust procedures with care and professionalism across CWPS sites in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Qualifications

• Input accurate and timely patient data on to relevant Trust computerised systems.
• Safe disposal of contaminated materials, including sharps and confidential waste.
• Undertake telephone and face-to-face enquiries dealing in a professional manner.
• Prepare the bodies of deceased patients for viewing in accordance with trust policies and procedures.
• Prepare the bodies of deceased patients for release to undertakers in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
• Dispatching and posting of samples to authorised persons and laboratories ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations.
