Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking an experienced Mortuary and Bereavement Manager to lead its Mortuary and Bereavement Services across three hospital sites. You will oversee after-death care, ensure dignified treatment of the deceased, and provide compassionate support to bereaved families.

You will manage staff, maintain regulatory compliance, drive quality improvements, and ensure operations meet legal and professional standards, including Medical Examiner Regulations 2024

Qualifikationen

• Requires RSPH Level 4 Diploma or equivalent in Anatomical Pathology Technology.
• Leadership/management qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Coroner's post-mortems, death registration and statutory responsibilities.

Requirements

• RSPH Level 4 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant management or leadership qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of legislation relating to Coroner's post-mortems, death registration and statutory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of workforce, financial and resource management at master's level or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of clinical risk management, governance and quality management.
• Knowledge of Human Tissue Authority requirements and regulatory frameworks.Previous experience in staff leadership, management and training.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
• Compassionate approach when dealing with deceased individuals and bereaved families.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
• Welsh-speaking ability at Level 3 or above is desirable but not essential.
