Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is seeking a School Site Manager (Caretaker) for a primary school in Leeds (LS7). The role is part-time with morning hours from 6:45am to 10:45am, totaling 20 hours weekly. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience and the ability to work independently in a school setting.

The position supports opening and securing the premises, managing deliveries, and overseeing on-site cleaning during the morning shift. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caretaker, site supervisor, maintenance, facilities, or similar role.
• Practical DIY and basic maintenance skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Opening and securing the school premises each morning.
• Distributing deliveries, parcels, and milk to the relevant areas of the school.
• Carrying out general maintenance and basic handyman duties.
• Ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well-maintained.
• Supporting and overseeing the cleaner working on site during the morning shift.
• Reporting any maintenance, security, or health and safety concerns.
