Job summary

Lift Hockley is seeking a part-time Cleaner to support our school with daily cleaning across classrooms, offices and shared spaces. You will help provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff, following health and safety practices and COSHH guidelines. The role runs 11 hours 15 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, 06:15–08:30.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience required.
• Experience in similar environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing and dusting across the school's areas.
• Emptying bins and keeping classrooms, offices and communal areas clean.
• Replenishing hand towels, toilet rolls, hand soap and bin liners.
• Using cleaning materials and equipment safely and correctly.
• Supporting planned deep cleaning during school closure periods.
• Reporting maintenance, health and safety or stock issues to the appropriate team member.
• Completing training and following health and safety procedures.
