Job summary

J C Portable Site Accommodation Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrician for full-time work in our modular building operations. You will handle the complete electrical fit-out, containment, wiring, inspection and testing across factory and UK sites.

Role requires at least 3 years’ PQE, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, and a valid BS 7671 certification. You’ll travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ PQE in commercial/industrial or modular installations.
• Fully qualified status in Electrical Installations/electrotechnical tech with NVQ3.
• Active BS 7671 (18th Edition) Certification (City & Guilds 2382).
• Ability to read and autonomously interpret drawings, specs and schematics.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home when required.
• DBS Check completed and Right to Work in the UK.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install and fit out electrical systems in modular buildings, including wiring, lighting and outlets.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and installation layouts for compliance.
• Test, inspect and sign off installations in line with BS 7671 and quality standards.
• Carry out maintenance, fault-finding and repairs in factory and on-site UK projects.
• Maintain records, test certificates, and report installation issues promptly.
• Care for tools, testing equipment and calibration certificates.
