The Modern Workplace Architect Role

Operating within the Edge capability, the Modern Workplace Architect will lead the strategic planning and execution of customer migrations to Windows 11. This involves designing and implementing architecture to support migration, minimizing business disruption, and optimizing IT infrastructure for scalability and efficiency.

Hybrid Working

The working environment varies between Company offices, client sites, and home, with an expectation to be on-site 2 days per week in Salisbury.

Successful candidates will undergo checks including identity, nationality or immigration status, employment history for the past 3 years, and a criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your Role

As Modern Workplace Architect, responsibilities include:

• Developing strategies for transitioning from on-premises to cloud-native management using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and align project goals.
• Creating, testing, and deploying application packages with tools like Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
• Providing technical guidance on best practices for modern management and troubleshooting.
• Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Documenting processes and configurations to support transition and management.

Skills and Experience

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft OS and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Intune, and Autopilot.
• Understanding of posture control technologies like Ivanti/Heat.
• Experience migrating user drives to OneDrive.
• Proficiency in application packaging (MSI/MSIX) and testing.
• Knowledge of security policies and compliance, especially in high-security settings.

Security Clearance

An SC clearance is required, which involves residency in the UK for the last 5 years and other criteria. Some roles may be restricted to UK nationals.
