Job Title
Modern Apprentice - Porter
Tenure: Fixed term
Salary: Band 2 Salary Scale: £25, 694 - £27,900
Modern Apprentice Salary: Starting salary: £20, 925 per annum
- Band 2 Annexe 21 Year 1 75% of top of scale
On successful completion of the programme, you will be supported into permanent employment at the entry point of a Band 2 starting salary scale.
Please note that this is a training post graded under Annex 21 Conditions* and will be paid at the Scottish Living Wage (2025/2026 rate). Trainees will be appointed at a salary of
£20,925, age dependant - please see guidance: .

Entry Requirements
Applications are considered on a competitive basis which means not all candidates who meet the entry criteria will be guaranteed an interview.
In order to be considered for interview your Application Form MUST clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- Have already achieved 3 National 4 qualifications, 2 of which must include Maths & English
OR
- the equivalent SCQF level of qualification/award
OR
- SCQF Level 4 Core Skills in the following:
- Numeracy
- Working with others
- Communication
- ICT
- Problem Solving
AND
- Fully complete the application form
AND
- Satisfy the age requirement for an apprenticeship post: Modern Apprenticeships are only open to applicants who will be aged 16 to 24 years (or 16 to 29 years for Disabled Applicants or applicants who are care experienced*) on 1st August 2025, in line with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Widening Access to Employment Strategy and workforce projections.
