Overview
Stirling Dynamics is recruiting Modelling and Simulation Contractors to the Simulation, Dynamics and Control team.
Due to upcoming projects and continued growth, Stirling Dynamics is looking for multiple Modelling and Simulation Contractors to join our team.
The successful engineers will work within a team responsible for the development of complex control algorithms and system plant models for next generation marine applications. The role covers all aspects of model based design, including mapping system requirements to model elements, requirements validation, and design verification through the use of model based analysis. The modelling and simulation work will be predominantly carried out using Matlab, Simulink and associated toolboxes.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of model based processes, Matlab/Simulink and ideally control theory. They will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and collaborate within a team of engineers.
The successful contractor will be predominantly based in our Bristol office, although they can work remotely part of the time. The contract will initially be for 6 months with options for further work beyond this.
Responsibilities
The role will suit an engineer with industrial experience using modelling techniques in the development of systems within the marine industry, but engineers with experience in aerospace and automotive will also be considered. The work involves the development of high-level vehicle/boat models, system models for actuation, and complex algorithms used for control and monitoring.
