The Role

As an HVAC Equipment Contract Engineer, your responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the HVAC equipment contract, focusing on project and configuration follow-up, collaborating with layout and HVAC system teams, contractors, and clients.
• Monitoring detailed studies by the contractor, reviewing and commenting on Equipment Replication Justification Reports (ERJR), drawings, procurement specs, manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, and testing procedures.
• Managing and coordinating Design Changes, including follow-up from opening to closure, progress monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
• Conducting technical assessments of contractor requests such as Non-Conformance Reports, Exemption Requests, and Technical Queries.
• Managing Change Transfer Sheet issuance to the client according to schedule.
• Representing the HVAC contract team in meetings with clients and suppliers.
• Reporting on equipment technical open points during regular meetings with contractors and clients.
• Monitoring modifications, tracking progress, using performance indicators, and generating reports.

During initial months, the KURY Team will support you throughout your projects.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in HVAC equipment design engineering or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC system and equipment sizing (AHU, fans, filters, water coils).
• Understanding of Pressurised Water Reactor system design principles.
• Experience in project configuration management.
• Experience working on EPR projects, operating plants, or industrial sites.
• Effective workload management for yourself and team to meet deadlines and KPIs.
• Good communication skills: clear, proactive, confident communication.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks with stakeholders.
• Experience in managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects of high-value contracts.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of nuclear safety classification.
• Understanding of UK licensing requirements for nuclear reactors.
• French language skills are an advantage.
