We’re looking for a Hydraulic Modeller to join our Risk Validation team, responsible for confirming model fitness for use to meet Severn Trent Water design standards and project-specific requirements.
In this role, you’ll evaluate wastewater network performance to identify new/validate existing risks and needs, develop notional solutions for projects, and deliver improvements to Severn Trent Water’s wastewater network in line with the company’s business plan. Typical risks include sewer flooding, growth, water framework directive / CSO performance, and sewage pumping station performance.
You’ll also assess project-specific hydraulic modelling requirements, including model audits/fitness for use assessments, model build and verification, and risk validation of catchment drivers.
This role is suitable for someone with Hydraulic Network Modelling experience, especially in wastewater network modelling using InfoWorks ICM or similar software. Experience in project scoping and asset survey planning is also important.
You should be proficient in hydraulic modelling software, with a strong understanding of hydraulics and model limitations. Being well-organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate data effectively are essential qualities.
