Job summary

Santander UK seeks a Model Risk Manager based in Manchester or Milton Keynes. As part of the Model Risk Operating Office, you will support governance across Level 1 and Level 2 forums, providing independent review and challenge to ensure robust decision-making and high-quality information.

You will engage with risk and model governance leaders, producing minutes and management information, and helping evolve governance arrangements with regulators’ expectations in mind.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting, administering or participating in governance forums, committees or management meetings in regulated environments.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders with constructive challenge.
• Experience reviewing complex papers and management information, identifying gaps and inconsistencies.
• Excellent written communication including minutes and governance papers.

Responsibilities

• Act as Secretariat for MROM and MRCF, ensuring meetings follow governance requirements and TOR.
• Review governance submissions, ensuring papers are complete and decision-focused.
• Work with senior stakeholders to improve governance materials and risk framing.
• Coordinate agendas, packs and management information for effective decisions.
• Produce regulator-ready minutes capturing discussions, decisions and owners.
• Monitor governance actions and ensure timely follow-up.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen governance processes and MI across Model Risk.
• Support evolution of Model Risk governance to remain effective and proportionate.
