Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team in the UK is recruiting an experienced Model Maker to assemble wind tunnel models and parts for our Aerodynamic program. You will work with Model Design, Mechanical Design and the Additive Manufacturing team to deliver high-quality components on time.

Responsibilities include preparing parts, liaising with colleagues, and maintaining a professional, proactive attitude. Flexibility to work weekends and shifts will be required as project timelines demand.

Formación

• Automotive or engineering experience preferred, especially in F1.
• Strong understanding of high-quality part manufacture and model assembly techniques.
• Willingness to work weekends and shifts as project timelines require.
• Ability to scope tasks and deliver on tight deadlines.
• Excellent teamwork with cross-functional colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble wind tunnel model parts and assemblies in line with the Aerodynamic program.
• Liaise with Modelmakers, Mechanical design, Aerodynamicists and Additive Manufacturing to provide parts for wind tunnel testing.
• Execute day-to-day tasks with a 'can do' attitude and manage timelines for high-quality models.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external groups to ensure parts are tested on time.
• Maintain professionalism and promote a positive image for the department and sponsors.
• Be flexible to work weekends and shifts as project timelines demand.
• Support growth and progression within the team and department.

We are looking for an experienced Model Maker to be responsible for assembly of the models, preparing parts and assemblies in line with our Aerodynamic program, to enhance and make the car faster. They will liaise with other Modelmakers, Model design, Mechanical design, Aerodynamicist plus the Additive Manufacturing team to provide parts for wind tunnel testing. Model Making Work with the model shop staff and Aero department, to develop our wind tunnel model and testing program. To investigate new technologies and concepts for parts and procedures. Communicate effectively with external groups such as other sections of the department to ensure that parts are tested on time. Execute the day-to-day tasks, providing a 'can do attitude', to all tasks set with a strong eye for detail. Manage timelines effectively, to ensure timely delivery of high-class models and parts. Professionalism Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects. To work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department / team/ sponsors. Create a positive and cohesive work environment, to promote growth and progression. To maintain and develop good relationships with all existing staff and support workers.

Experience

• Previous Automotive experience would be excellent; ideally with engineering experience, and with a preference in F1.
• Strong, broad understanding of high-quality part manufacture and model assembly techniques.

• Flexibility to work weekends if required and adjust to fluctuating demands and schedules as required by project timelines.
• Flexibility to work on shifts.

• Ensure ability to scope complete tasks within a strict timescale.
• Provide a willing attitude to help us to succeed and improve processes, where possible.

• Availability to work in Milton Keynes and at our wind tunnel facility in Bedford when required.
