Mobilisation Operations Manager – Children’s Residential Care

Location: North East England

Salary: £65,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance

Requirements

• Experience as a Registered Manager or regional-level operator in children's residential care services.
• A proven track record of achieving at least ‘Good’ ratings in Ofsted or CQC inspections.
• A Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
• A valid UK driving licence.

We are seeking a Mobilisation Operations Manager to lead the growth of a cluster of new children's homes, working with a dedicated senior leadership team to ensure high standards of care, safety, and compliance.

The Role

As Mobilisation Operations Manager, you will oversee the successful day-to-day operation of 2-3 registrations across multiple sites, all in earlier stages of development. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for recruitment and registration to ensure these homes deliver safe, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading planning and delivery of new services across multiple locations.
• Conducting regular quality audits and tracking service improvements.
• Building and maintaining strong partnerships with local authorities.

The Ideal Candidate

The candidate should be a confident, capable multi-site operator with a strong background in children’s residential care. Prior experience as a Registered Manager or Operations Manager within children’s social care, with a record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings, is essential.

You should also be:

• Commercially aware, experienced in managing occupancy and agency usage.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, particularly with local authorities.
• A strong, compassionate leader who can inspire and support Registered Managers.
• Aligned with innovative practice, as our client is implementing a pioneering multi-building home model offering a flexible approach to residential care.
