Maternal and Family Health Services is seeking a full-time Program Assistant to operate a WIC mobile unit, delivering nutrition services and education to women, children, and families at designated sites.

You will collect data, perform screenings for eligibility, maintain supplies, and coordinate with district staff to promote WIC services in the assigned territory. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; valid PA driver’s license and safe driving are required.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree preferred but not required.

Mansioni

• Explain the program and what to expect during the appointment.
• Verify identification, residency, and income eligibility.
• Perform hematological and anthropometric measurements.
• Provide nutrition and breastfeeding contacts per policy.
• Explain WIC food instruments and E-WIC card usage.
• Schedule appointments and manage mobile unit operations.
• Deliver WIC services from the mobile unit to designated locations.
• Maintain inventory and ensure mobile unit cleanliness and readiness.
• Attend outreach events and support MFHS goals.
