Job summary

Northumbrian Water is forming a new Wastewater Screens and Sewage Pumping Station Preventative Maintenance team. Based from Broken Scar, Darlington, you will maintain and improve assets across the North East, focusing on proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and condition-based servicing.

A full UK driving license is essential, and you may start from home for some days. This safety-critical role offers a van and tools, with opportunities to complete up to three technical modules, each £1,500,

Qualifications

• Time served Mechanical Technician with ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience with reactive breakdowns and planned maintenance.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and identify faulty components.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the performance of assets across the North East.
• Engage in proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and condition-based servicing of Screens and SPS assets.
• Contribute to reducing downtime and improving plant availability.
