Fleet and Equipment Services at Kent Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting two mobile vehicle technicians to keep fire engines and specialist vehicles ready for emergencies. The work covers routine servicing and emergency repair, some of it at incident scenes, carried out largely alone from a service van. The post stands out for its one-in-three on-call rota, a service vehicle kept at the local fire station, and a heavy goods vehicle setting. Fit depends on a Level 3 mechanics qualification and a current UK manual driving licence.
