Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician based in Esher. The role involves servicing, maintenance and repair at customer locations, including EVs, with pre-booked appointments and a 40-hour week.

Salary is £55,625 (inclusive of LWA) with OTE up to £62,000. The schedule runs Mon–Sat, 8am–8pm, with optional overtime and strong progression opportunities across a national breakdown company.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair (Level 3 preferred).
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on vehicle experience.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles at customer locations (including EVs).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections).
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers.
• Process payments via card transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
