Job summary

INDAUTO is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service and repair vans at customer sites across Birmingham and surrounding areas. The role offers a company van, paid travel time, and progression opportunities into senior or supervisory roles.

You will diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, with ongoing training available. A Level 2/3 vehicle maintenance qualification and a valid UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification such as IMI or City & Guilds.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician, Mobile Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Own hand tools; specialist tools and diagnostics provided by the employer.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work independently at customer sites.
• Practical, organised approach to problem-solving and job reporting.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect and repair vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Maintain PTO systems, tail lifts and hydraulic equipment; perform safety checks.
• Attend breakdowns and complete urgent repairs where required.
• Prepare reports and timesheets using a tablet; coordinate follow-ons with controllers.
• Support LOER tail lift inspections training where needed.
