Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customers' home or work addresses as part of a new specialist division for the UK’s leading national breakdown company.

The role is permanent, full-time, based in Windsor with a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday 8:30am–5pm, plus occasional Saturdays. Overtime paid at 1.5x, with generous benefits and a pension scheme.

Qualifikationen

• Must have Level 2 light vehicle maintenance and repair, Level 3 preferred (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles (workshop or mobile).
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points, no bans.

Aufgaben

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at customer locations such as driveways or office car parks.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Handle payments through card transactions.
• Keep up to date with latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair, via prebooked appointments, at customers home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members.

Must have right to work in the UK status.

Location: WindsorPay / salary: £45,370 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: In Excess of £57,000Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule for the Mobile Technician roleHome based, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm with 1 Saturday per month. When working the Saturday, you will receive a day off in that week. Any overtime past 5pm or an additional Saturday, is paid at time and a half (£30ph)

1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional – more flexibility, more reward.

What you'll need to be considered for the Mobile Technician role

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
• The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
