Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain, and repair vehicles at customer locations on prebooked appointments. The role covers home-based, 40 hours per week across five days, with 1 in 4 Saturdays and optional overtime rewarding up to £5,000 annually.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and communicate repair needs to customers while handling card payments and keeping precise servicing records.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles, in a workshop or mobile role.
• Must have a full UK driving licence with max 6 points and no bans.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles at customer locations (driveways, office car parks), including EVs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections).
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve problems.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Handle payments via card transactions.
• Keep records of work performed and parts used.

Job description

Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair, via prebooked appointments, at customers home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members.

Must have right to work in the UK status.

Pay / salary: £45,370 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: Up to £57,000

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role:

Home based, working 40 hours per week, across 5 days (Monday to Saturday) 8am – 8PM, working 1 in 4 Saturdays.

1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional – more flexibility, more reward.

Job Responsibilities for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role:

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) customer selected location e.g. driveway, office car park.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.

• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

What you’ll need to be considered for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role:

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
• The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
