Job summary

Perfect Placement seeks a Mobile Vehicle Technician for a family-run garage based in Chertsey, Surrey. The role combines roadside repairs with on-site workshop tasks across West London, Surrey and Berkshire.

You will perform routine maintenance, light diagnostics, and basic repairs, while documenting work and ensuring safe service delivery. A van, tools, and fuel card are provided; overtime on weekends may be available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mobile Mechanic or similar role.
• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification.
• Valid UK driving licence with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roadside and mobile maintenance tasks.
• Perform breakdown repairs and minor fixes.

Duties of the Mobile Vehicle Technician:

• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance at roadside and during mobile calls.
• Perform breakdown repairs, focusing on light diagnostics and minor repairs.
• Undertake early-stage repair tasks and basic mechanical work.
• Coordinate major repairs and mechanical tasks with the workshop team.
• Maintain accurate service records and provide excellent customer service.
• Work independently in the field while adhering to safety procedures.
• Support the team to ensure efficient service delivery across the market area.

Requirements of the Mobile Vehicle Technician:

• Proven experience as a Mobile Mechanic or similar role.
• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Knowledge of roadside recovery processes and breakdown procedures.
• Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
• Basic tools and the ability to work independently in the field.
• Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, with optional overtime on Saturdays.
