Job summary

Igloo Ltd is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Repair Technician in Southend-on-Sea. You will join a team of technicians to service, diagnose, and repair vehicles. A company van and tools are provided, so you don’t need to supply your own equipment.

The role requires a Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) and a full UK driving licence. You will handle servicing, diagnostics, and warranty work, with a focus on customer service and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Qualified Level 2 or 3 Vehicle Technician.
• City & Guilds or NVQ in Vehicle Mechanics.
• Full, valid UK driving licence held for at least two years.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general vehicle servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate equipment.

Job description

We're recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Repair Technician to support a growing automotive operation in Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Technician who enjoys varied work, problem-solving and interacting with customers.

You'll be part of a wider technician team, carrying out servicing, diagnostics and vehicle repairs. A company van and tools will be provided, so you won't need to supply your own equipment.

The Role:

• Carry out general vehicle servicing and repairs in line with your qualifications.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate equipment.
• Complete repairs using approved methods and manufacturer standards.
• Undertake warranty repairs where required.
• Complete all relevant documentation accurately and follow company procedures.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with customers.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Mechanical Inspector.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics.
• Full, valid UK driving licence held for at least two years.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• A professional approach with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work independently.
