Job summary

Jarvie Plant Ltd is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic based at our Grangemouth Depot, covering Edinburgh, Fife and the Central Belt. You will diagnose, repair and service a wide range of fleet vehicles on-site, roadside and in the workshop, helping keep our hire fleet safe and ready for customers.

You will work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on problem solving, quality work, and first-rate customer service. Some travel to customer sites will be required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing multi-fleet vehicles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and a team-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service a range of fleet vehicles.
• Carry out roadside and customer-site repairs across Edinburgh, Fife and the Central Belt.
• Work on engine management, electrical, braking and general vehicle systems.
• Inspect vehicles for wear and safety, and report concerns.
• Support base depot workshop when demand is lower.
• Deliver a professional, helpful service to customers.
