Job summary

Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a Mobile Plant Mechanic in Kilsyth to join a busy workshop. The role involves servicing, repairing and maintaining a variety of plant equipment, diagnosing faults and ensuring safety standards are met.

You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, with opportunities for overtime and a minimum twelve-week assignment with potential extension for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing plant and equipment.
• A clean driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular plant inspections and scheduled servicing.

Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts seeks a Mobile Plant Mechanic for a full-time post in Kilsyth, paying £19.19 hourly. Working Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, the successful candidate joins a busy workshop, servicing, repairing and maintaining varied plant machinery. Core duties include routine inspections, scheduled servicing, diagnosing mechanical and technical faults, and completing on and off-hire PDI checks. Accurate record-keeping of all completed work is essential. Applicants should demonstrate strong diagnostic ability, mechanical expertise with heavy equipment, and a solid commitment to safety standards. The contract runs a minimum of twelve weeks, with extension possible for the right person.
