Job summary

The Automobile Association is hiring a Mobile Mechanic to deliver first-class service at customers' homes or workplaces. You will attend booked appointments and breakdowns, perform diagnostics, servicing and on-the-spot repairs.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll work independently across multiple locations, explaining diagnostics clearly, and building relationships to grow demand. A Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance, a full UK driving licence, and flexibility to work shifts are

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (6 points max).

Job description

Enjoy a great work-life balance with a 40-hour working week, worked over a 5-day rota between Monday and Saturday. Shifts are scheduled between 8am and 8pm, with optional overtime available at the end of your shift or on your rest days.

This is the job

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.
