Job summary

Halfords Group PLC in the West Midlands is seeking a Mobile Technician to join the Halfords Mobile Expert team. You will bring hands-on car care to customers’ driveways, performing routine repairs and services with a focus on quality and safety.

The role is available part-time or full-time with a 22-hour baseline, plus a monthly bonus scheme and a comprehensive benefits package. A current driving licence is required; prior tyre fitting or vehicle repair experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as tyre fitter or vehicle repair is highly desirable.
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative.
• Passion for cars and motoring.
• Full driving licence with up to 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and services for customers on their vehicles.
• Use supplied van and smart routing tech to perform tasks.

• Comprising a base salary of £14,997
• 22 hour week
• Shift pattern Saturday & Sunday 8:00 - 20:00 (Overtime may be available in the week)

As a Mobile Technician, you’ll use your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you’ll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers.

With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work, day-to-day:

• Battery replacement
• Windscreen repairs
• Oil & filter changes

Skills and experience

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative
• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring
• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
