Job summary

Worcester Bosch is seeking a Mobile Training Engineer to cover the North-West region. You will deliver hands-on training at customer sites and Worcester Bosch academies, developing installers and apprentices in gas, oil, heat pumps and HIUs, while maintaining high standards of technical excellence.

The role requires ACS CCN1 & CENWAT qualifications and a full driving licence, with travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays. 37 hours per week with full company benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in plumbing and heating or equivalent experience.
• ACS CCN1 & CENWAT qualifications or equivalent advantageous.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, high-quality product training at customer sites and Worcester Bosch academies.
• Support installers and apprentices with practical and theoretical training.
• Promote best practice in installation, maintenance and safety.
• Prepare and update course content to reflect current standards and market development.
• Travel across the North-West and possibly other UK locations, with occasional overnight stays.

Job Description

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Customer Training department as a Mobile Training engineer covering the North-West region.

The training team provide a range of product training and industry qualifications across the UK and Ireland though a network of training academies, mobile training vans and training partners. The training offer compliments our extensive HVAC portfolio including domestic and commercial gas, oil, heat pumps, air conditioning and HIUs. We are responsible for delivering this training primarily to our installers but also to our internal customers including service engineers, professional sales team and apprentices.

The Mobile Trainer delivers structured, high-quality training courses at customer locations, Worcester Bosch’s academies and training partners across your designated region, equipping internal and external customers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to install, service, and maintain Worcester Bosch products safely and effectively, while upholding the company’s reputation for technical excellence and professional development. The training team operate under the guidance of the training leadership and technical support functions, ensuring that sessions are aligned with the company's standards and objectives. You may be required to support other areas of the department with travel to different locations across the UK.

In this role, you'll get to travel to various training locations, which will occasionally include overnight stays.

Additional Responsibilities

• Delivering practical and engaging product training sessions.
• Supporting professional development for installers and apprentices.
• Promoting best practice in installation, maintenance, and safety.
• Enhancing customer experience and strengthening Worcester Bosch’s reputation for technical expertise, industry knowledge and quality
• Prepare and update course content and training materials to ensure the offering is in-line with current standards and market development
• Maintain, enhance, and ensure the operational readiness and presentation of the training centre to the highest standards.
• Participate in "train the trainer" initiatives for new products and services.
• Actively develop your own technical skills and keep your market knowledge up to date
• To help maintain the development and upkeep of the Mobile Training

Qualifications

Education requirements:

• ACS CCN1 & CENWAT qualifications - other industry qualifications are advantageous
• NVQ Level 3 in plumbing and heating or equivalent experience
• Full driving licence

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent technical knowledge
• Previous experience in a training capacity is preferable but not essential
• A trade related background
• Computer literate with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams Etc.) is an advantage
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills that can be adapted to a range of stakeholders
• Knowledge of low temperature systems, installations and commissioning procedures
• Experienced in current health, safety and environment
• Experience or understanding of renewable technologies is preferable but not essential
• Confident in their ability to deliver training of the highest quality expected of a market leader
• Comfortable with talking to learners across a wide range of skills and positions.

Working Hours

37 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 16:30 Friday with a 1-hour lunchbreak
