Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.

Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs. Offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?

As a Mobile Technician, you'll get a fully equipped service van, PDA, and smartphone, with support from our central service network. You'll travel and work independently at customer sites, servicing and repairing LCVs, plant, and equipment in the utilities sector.

We're looking for self-motivated, flexible people who communicate well and take pride in high standards of customer service. Ideally, you have a recognised apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications. Experience with LCVs, construction plant, material handling, or ancillary equipment is a plus. Familiarity with diagnostic and electrical systems is great, but we offer training for any areas you want to improve.

What you’ll bring?

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 or industry recognised qualification
• Possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools
• As part of this role you will use a range of diagnostic tools and equipment. You will need to be experienced and assured in using them
• Ability to work alone, carrying out all statutory inspections, examinations, calibrations and service events, for all Plant & Vehicles for your nominated contracts
• Excellent customer service skills
• Willing to travel throughout the UK
