Job summary

Retail & Asset Solutions is seeking a proactive Retail Shift Leader to oversee stocktaking teams across multiple client sites in Southampton. This mobile, hands-on role involves leading a team, ensuring accuracy, and delivering professional service.

You will travel between sites, work evenings and nights within a 5-in-7 pattern, and may require overnight stays. The role offers a competitive salary, car allowance, and full-time permanent employment with training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and a professional approach.
• Ability to remain calm, focused and effective under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support stocktaking teams on customer sites.
• Ensure stocktakes are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Monitor team productivity and take action if performance falls below expectations.
• Ensure all company and customer processes, procedures and health & safety requirements are followed.
• Maintain a professional approach and always deliver excellent customer service.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer representatives on site.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customer management.
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly and escalate when appropriate.
• Ensure team members understand responsibilities and maintain conduct and performance standards.
• Complete all required stocktake administration, reporting and sign-off accurately.
• Work flexibly across different customer locations and adapt to changing requirements.
